The question of using pesticides is one that gardeners must consider. One of the most common ones is Roundup, a widely used herbicide that contains the active ingredient glyphosate, which has been linked to health and environmental concerns. The links below explain the health impact of pesticides and a couple of guides with helpful information and organic alternatives.

Asbestos poses a risk to personal health and the environment, including wildlife, plants, animals, and surrounding communities. It can still be found in older buildings and products, and if improperly disposed of, can release dangerous fibers into the air and water, causing ongoing exposure.

Mesothelioma.net’s mission is to educate the public about the threat asbestos poses to both our environment and communities. They offer comprehensive safety information when handling and disposing of this harmful substance. The link below provides more information.

Hazardous Products Containing Asbestos: There are many products that might draw interest but the ones of most interest to gardeners are: fertilizers, soil conditioners, Libby vermiculite and potting soil.
